Mike Zale began his career at the age of five studying the cello at the Eastman School of Music (which included master classes with world renowned cellist Yo Yo Ma). He went on to play cello in several local alternative rock bands before picking up the guitar in college and starting to write his own songs. He quickly developed a writing style that, along with his quick study of the guitar, outside-the-box creativity, and a loop recording technique he learned by watching Phil Keaggy, helped him create a unique stage show that's one step beyond just a guy with a guitar.
